Why are Small Groups important at First Assembly?
The pattern of the early church was to meet in the temple and house to house. (Acts 2:42-47) The picture is one of a community of believers who not only gathered to worship as a large group in the temple courts but also in small groups throughout the local area of Jerusalem. Certain kinds of ministry are simply much more difficult to accomplish well in a large gathering. In particular, building loving, intimate and caring relationships with other believers is almost impossible apart from some type of small group opportunity.
The Small Group Ministry at First Assembly is designed to provide every attender with numerous opportunities to become involved in a small group. H.O.M.E. groups, discipleship groups, support groups and recovery groups are examples. Get involved in Small Groups!
