THE NAME
The name "Donna's Boy" came from the bands front man Glen Gould.
"I thought people would think it was lame if I called my band The Glen Gould Band. So, I got to thinking about when I go home to my home community Membertou First Nation (www.membertou.ca) in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia how a lot of the older people from the area would ask who I was. They're told Glen Gould and they don't know who I am. Then someone would say Donna's boy and right away they would know exactly who I was."
So, the name "Donna's Boy" is to honour Glen's late Mother, Donna Doris (Marshall) Gould who passed away in a tragic car accident on April 3, 1992 that claimed the lives of both of his parents.
